Political leaders are also becoming Agile and started Scrums in their missions

Started from American football and then Cricket, and even massively accepted by IT industry, now Agile practices are going into politics as well.

Manpreet Badal from Punjab (Ex-Finance minister), and educated intelligent politician, is in his 'Jago Punjab Yatra' to open eyes of public in state about what ruling party is doing behind the screen for their personal benefits with the hard earned money from public funds. He is also trying to make people aware how to reduce state's debt, and take the state to its next level of success again.

As part of his yatra, Manpreet Badal has also started NUKKAR MEETINGS wherein people will come together and share their views about how to make the yatra more effective. Such practice, is being regularly followed in project sprints (under Agile methodology) which is called SCRUM or DAILY STANDUPs, where all the team members stand together at a common place and address 2-3 basic standard questions to plan their day or short term achievement plans, which in the end turn to a bigger collective achievement.

Daily Questions (everyone speaks for his/her activities):
1. What were my tasks yesterday, and what are their current statuses? How much of the assigned workload is remaining, if it is? Any challenge to accomplish the same?
2. What are my tasks today? Is there any challenge/roadblock to complete it? If yes, other team members discuss it to address it immediately or ASAP.

This practice has been globally accepted by the sport teams and they have had opened their success rates by multi-unfolds.

Great job, Manpreet Badal. Good luck to you and your team for success of 'Jago Punjab Yatra' project.

Long time

It's been really long time I'm missing you guys. I've not been writing for a while now, just been busy in developing my project management software. I'll share more about my development with you very soon. For now, I just wanted to tell you I'm having sleepless nights, restless weekends and almost no partying to make it happen.

"Miles to go before I sleep..."

As an intro, I must give you a brief about what I'm developing... It's a web based application to collaborate and manage projects online. The tool would serve as SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and would help organizations to centralize their project and test assets. This is an implementation of Agile practices and test driven/iterative development model. Target audience is planner/manager, developer, tester and of course their customers too to collaborate on a single platform, help each other with their roles to make the project complete. After all, "Project is considered finished only when it starts working for you, not you for it.", and that's what everybody wants in the group to have win-win situation.

In other words, I've put in modules like; releases, sprints, requirements(user stories), tasks, test cases, defects, discussions, documents, and other interesting flows to make users happy. Reports are going to be a great implementation for managers' help in next few days, I'm currently in that well construction.

Also to tell you, my wife is looking after all the business part of it since I don't have my time remaining to do that stuff after my regular full time job and then app development at home. She can do it with her past learnings of similar jobs, and availability of time is the main thing. I'm good at development, so I'm happy doing that alone, but at the end of day it's a team work, so we do discuss strategies together at home, while driving and whenever we can do it.

It's not an easy job we both are doing with our regular jobs, but we shouldn't regret at least that we haven't given a try to address the industry need what I had found over 2 years back. We're showing it to some industry leaders and they are liking it too, but with massive suggestions to cover the existing gaps compared to other similar tools in market. That's really helping me to spend more half-hours during the night, if not hours :)

I'll keep posting more on this, whenever I can... In case you want to know more about my product with an intention to review it to give me your valuable feedback, or even use latest beta version for FREE to manage your projects (you'll definitely like that, I bet), please feel free to buzz me at: ns at inavdeep dot com.

Thank you!

Some cool guys from Chandigarh - Lpad team

Last week I met with people behind Lpad, spend about 3 hours with them. They are really cool at what they are doing. They are helping startup entrepreneurs to give them pitch for gearing up their business from just an in-progress or conceptual phase.

Lpad is associated with NASSCOM and started their operations from the city of Chandigarh (actually a small town touching Chandigarh, called "Zirakpur") with an awesome facility. They offer/share office facility to startups with all the salient features and full access to their teams as like their own. Feel like home, hmm?

They are also conducting mentorship programs for entrepreneurs by inviting successful people from close-by companies to share their experiences with the startups, and also give stage to startups to showcase their products/services they are working on... This is really helpful at their evolving stage, that they learn a lot to demo their stuff before they reach to the bigger stage like TataNEN's www.hotteststartups.in, www.startups.in or www.proto.in.

I wish them a great success in this venture. It's a cool!

Is the glass half full or half empty?

Found this post at businessballs.com, thought to share with you guys too. This is really cool!

Here is how different people see a glass half-full/half-empty of water }:-)
  • The optimist says the glass is half full.
  • The pessimist says the glass is half empty.
  • The project manager says the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
  • The realist says the glass contains half the required amount of liquid for it to overflow.
  • And the cynic... wonders who drank the other half.
  • The school teacher says it's not about whether the glass is half empty or half full, it's whether there is something in the glass at all.
  • Anyway... Attitude is not about whether the glass is half full or half empty, it's about who is paying for the next round.
  • The professional trainer does not care if the glass is half full or half empty, he just knows that starting the discussion will give him ten minutes to figure out why his powerpoint presentation is not working.
  • The ground-down mother of a persistently demanding five-year-old says sweetheart it's whatever you want it to be, just please let mummy have five minutes peace and quiet.
  • The consultant says let's examine the question, prepare a strategy for an answer, and all for a daily rate of...
  • The inquisitive troublemaker wants to know what's in the glass anyhow... and wants the rest of it.
  • The homebuilder sees the dirty glass, washes and dries it, then puts it away in a custom oak and etched glass cabinet that he built himself using only hand tools.
  • The worrier frets that the remaining half will evaporate by next morning.
  • The fanatic thinks the glass is completely full, even though it isn't.
  • The entrepreneur sees the glass as undervalued by half its potential.
  • The computer specialist says that next year the glass capacity will double, be half the price, but cost you 50% more for me to give you the answer.
  • The first engineer says the glass is over-designed for the quantity of water.
  • The second engineer says (when the half is tainted) he's glad he put the other half in a redundant glass. (Based on a Dilbert cartoon by Scott Adams)
  • The computer programmer says the glass is full-empty.
  • The Buddhist says don't worry, remember the glass is already broken.
  • The logician says that where the glass is in process of being filled then it is half full; where it is in the process of being emptied then it is half empty; and where its status in terms of being filled or emptied is unknown then the glass is one in which a boundary between liquid and gas lies exactly midway between the inside bottom and the upper rim, assuming that the glass has parallel sides and rests on a level surface, and where it does not then the liquid/gas boundary lies exactly midway between the upper and lower equal halves of the available total volume of said glass.
  • The scientist says a guess based on a visual cue is inaccurate, so mark the glass at the bottom of the meniscus of the content, pour the content into a bigger glass; fill the empty glass with fresh content up to the mark; add the original content back in; if the combined content overflows the lip, the glass was more than half full; if it doesn't reach the top, the glass was more than half empty; if it neither overflows nor fails to reach the top then it was either half-full or half-empty. Now what was the question again?
  • The Dutchman would suggest to both pay for the glass and share the content. Then tells you he will have the bottom half.
  • The personal coach knows that the glass goes from full to empty depending on the circumstances, and reminds the drinker that he can always fill the glass when he wishes.
  • The grammarian says that while the terms half-full and half-empty are colloquially acceptable the glass can technically be neither since both full and empty are absolute states and therefore are incapable of being halved or modified in any way.
  • The auditor first checks whether the empty half is material and then designs the audit procedures to obtain sufficient evidence to conclude that the glass is indeed empty.
  • The waiter will hurry to replace the glass with a full one. For him there are no doubts: the glass was empty when he took it away; it is full in the bill that he brings you.
  • The magician will show you the glass with the full half at the top.
  • The physician says that the glass is not empty at all - it is half-filled with water and half-filled with air - hence, fully filled on the whole!
  • The musician says he/she is unimpressed with the promoter of the concert for not providing more alcohol.
  • The ineffective organization would discuss the question during the board of directors meeting, convene a committee to research the problem, and assign tasks for a root cause analysis, usually without a complete explanation of the problem to those assigned the tasks. The directors would consider the problem to be above the pay grade of those assigned root cause analysis tasks.
And more strangely:
  • The dog just wonders: can he eat the glass or will you throw it so he can bring it back... The cat wonders why the glass is only half full (or empty)... is it a trick... poison perhaps...
  • The eternally optimistic eccentric would say, the glass is consistently overflowing (or is that the neurotic?...)
  • The person who is no longer trapped in The Matrix (whatever one might call him/her) says: "There is no glass..."
More generationally:
  • The adolescent student says the glass is just another dirty trick played by the teacher to prove that students are dumb.
More scientifically:
  • The research scientist says that following initial observation and testing a working hypothesis for further research is: "The glass is both half full and half empty," and that these findings warrant further investigation with a more representative sample of glasses and contents, which may or may not be liquid.
  • The algebraic simultaneous equation theorist says that if the glass is equally half full and half empty, then half full = half empty; therefore ½ x F = ½ x E; therefore (by multiplying both sides of the equation by 2) we show that F = E; i.e. Full equals Empty!
  • The efficiency analyst says the glass is operating substantially below optimization level, being consistently exactly 50% under-utilized during the period of assessment, corresponding to an over-resourcing in meeting demand equating to precisely 200% of requisite capacity in volume terms, not accounting for seasonal trends and shrinkage, and that if the situation continues there is in theory opportunity for savings or expansion.

Team Dynamics

Long back I got a comment from one my ex-colleagues that "team dynamics" is an area I should learn... She also gave a little brief on the subject... :) Thank you for the suggestions! I must say back, "Activity is not an achievement."

Anyway, now, when I know what actually this stuff is, I'm smiling how they pretended to be team dynamic is from their perspective (that time). Below is written what I found about team dynamics from my experience, experts feedback, by reading different articles and guides over the internet.

Here we go...
Team dynamics are the invisible factors that operate in a team between two or more people working together. This is very complex to describe in single line that how it is identified and measured? It can be anything that directly or indirectly affects the productivity of people. Some of those can be: Friendship between colleagues, Work environment/place layout and culture, Small informal meetings between colleagues within office time, Company/Team processes, Technologies, Learning opportunity, and definitely opportunity to grow. Sometimes, any kind of change in team like add/remove of members may lead to change in behavior of existing people.

The ultimate ambition of a manager should be to add value to team dynamic only so overall project productivity is increased and not to reduce it or make it complex, and with that team becomes more strengthened. Members should have social feel to the team/group, make others enjoy, give value to others commitment and appreciations etc to motivate. The people I have seen around me in the past, were believe in gossip of peers with others, which means that there are likely to be sub-groups within a team to break the team spirit, and that directly impacts the overall morale of everybody because the environment is corrupted. When managers are also included in those gossips, well, that's end of story :-) and the show didn't run for long.

Positive team dynamic reduces company's attrition rate too.

I must mention some of the quotes from my earlier post that I like a lot:
  • The good project manager looks after his(or her) team; the perfect project manager takes care of customers.
  • Nothing is impossible for the person who doesn't have to do it.
  • It is always easier to talk about change than to make it.
  • If you always blame others for your mistakes, you will never improve.

Let's call duck, a Duck!

You are a Manager, you have 10s of people working with you on multiple projects. All 5 fingers of a hand are not equal, you must understand the fact of nature. Use thumb for the purpose it is developed for, and other fingers in same according fashion to use differently. Don't compare John with Paul for their work culture, reputation and/or results, both are as good as same but it can be in different areas. You are also equally responsible to identify their expert areas as they are into themselves, so you can take best use of all your subordinates. Don't blame on them, if you can't use them efficiently.

We are 2 brothers, born and brought up by same parents but we both are into entirely different fields and both are outside of family business line. Why it is so? We both are doing good in our areas. Same is the case with my 100s of friends, old classmates, colleagues and other people with whom I travel in public transports.

I can't, or won't suggest how to identify people skills working with you? It's your job because you are promoted to the suitable and responsible position for doing that only.

During my masters back in year 2000, I studied a few books on various management subjects, and the bottom line for all was, "MANAGE-MEN-Tactfully". In practice, I'm finding the phenomena changes to "Manage-Men-Timely" (only on times when problem comes). Famous author and PMP trainer, Oliver Lehmann has well said, "Clever project managers pass problems to others; smart project managers build a reputation as problem solvers.".

Come on... Let's be practical on this, and call duck a duck, eagle an eagle, and horse a horse. It's not possible for horse to swim, but none of duck or eagle can run as fast and long as horse.

Preparing for an agiled milestone

It has been over 4 years of thinking and 2 years of working on my dream software, and today I am preparing to unveil my work to my mates with whom I've been talking about it often. My friends at work are supporting me in a way or other for making it  a success, who know about this. The judgement day is not so far away but I'm excited with that. I took it as a challenge against the odds, and that includes hundreds of sleepless nights, restless weekends and numerous failures, and finally now I'm in good shape. Not me, but my work ;-)

However, I'm not sure, if it'll catch the attention of audience? I have a strong feeling to keep going miles after miles before I sleep. I love being Agile so my work is also around it.

More to be posted in coming days, as and when the progress happens in that direction.

Welcome iPhone 4

First email of today morning about introduction of iPhone 4 by Apple. It was unveiled yesterday at WWDC 2010 keynote by Steve Jobs. Good to see about another gadget of the year.

Some of the new things in this version, since last 3G/3GS release:

  1. iPhone OS name is changed to iOS - Now its in-use of iPad as well, they can use common name now.
  2. Multi-tasking - The long waited feature in this device. I can now use Skype the more while Facebook'ing.
  3. Front camera for video calls --- sounds interesting.
  4. Snapping pictures at 5mp and Video recording at High Definition level. LED flash is an additional plus on board which works dynamically with both the camera uses.
  5. All new look with improved glass quality, and steel boundary around.
  6. Other than that Apple made small change in almost everything inside it.
Here you go with official page...

I've opted-in for 'Notify Me' first thing after I read the intro mail, will try to grab one to India, and to unlock it, for using here with my mobile carrier.

What Ratan Tata did for the Mumbai victims... Not yet heard in any news channel

I can't help avoiding to share this great news with all of you, that I received today thru Facebook news feed via my friend. This shows nation is running, and growing, because these kind of people are here.

Ratan Tata is the chairman of Indian Hotels who own the Taj Mahal Hotel Mumbai, which was the target of the terrorists last year. Hotel President a 5 star property also belongs to Indian Hotels.

The following is really touching.
  • All category of employees including those who had completed even 1 day as casuals were treated on duty during the time the hotel was closed.
  • Relief and assistance to all those who were injured and killed
  • The relief and assistance was extended to all those who died at the railway station, surroundings including the “Pav- Bha ji” vendor and the pan shop owners.
  • During the time the hotel was closed, the salaries were sent by money order.
  • A psychiatric cell was established in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences to counsel those who needed such help.
  • The thoughts and anxieties going on people’s mind was constantly tracked and where needed psychological help provided.
  • Employee outreach centers were opened where all help, food, water, sanitation, first aid and counseling was provided. 1600 employees were covered by this facility.
  • Every employee was assigned to one mentor and it was that person’s responsibility to act as a “single window” clearance for any help that the person required.
  • Ratan Tata personally visited the families of all the 80 employees who in some manner – either through injury or getting killed – were affected.
  • The dependents of the employees were flown from outside Mumbai to Mumbai and taken care off in terms of ensuring mental assurance and peace. They were all accommodated in Hotel President for 3 weeks.
  • Ratan Tata himself asked the families and dependents – as to what they wanted him to do.
  • In a record time of 20 days, a new trust was created by the Tatas for the purpose of relief of employees.
  • What is unique is that even the other people, the railway employees, the police staff, the pedestrians who had nothing to do with Tatas were covered by compensation. Each one of them was provided subsistence allowance of Rs. 10K per month for all these people for 6 months.
  • A 4 year old granddaughter of a vendor got 4 bullets in her and only one was removed in the Government hospital. She was taken to Bombay hospital and several lacs were spent by the Tatas on her to fully recover her.
  • New hand carts were provided to several vendors who lost their carts.
  • Tata will take responsibility of life education of 46 children of the victims of the terror.
  • This was the most trying period in the life of the organization. Senior managers including Ratan Tata were visiting funeral to funeral over the 3 days that were most horrible.
  • The settlement for every deceased member ranged from Rs. 36 to 85 lacs [One lakh rupees translates to approx US $2200] in addition to the following benefits:
    • Full last salary for life for the family and dependents;
    • Complete responsibility of education of children and dependents – anywhere in the world.
    • Full Medical facility for the whole family and dependents for rest of their life.
    • All loans and advances were waived off – irrespective of the amount.
    • Counselor for life for each person
  1. How was such passion created among the employees? How and why did they behave the way they did?
  2. The organisation is clear that it is not something that someone can take credit for. It is not some training and development that created such behaviour. If someone suggests that – everyone laughs
  3. It has to do with the DNA of the organisation, with the way Tata culture exists and above all with the situation that prevailed that time. The organisation has always been telling that customers and guests are #1 priority
  4. The hotel business was started by Jamshedji Tata when he was insulted in one of the British hotels and not allowed to stay there.
  5. He created several institutions which later became icons of progress, culture and modernity. IISc is one such institute. He was told by the rulers that time that he can acquire land for IISc to the extent he could fence the same. He could afford fencing only 400 acres. He also made a condition that the TATA name should not be used (ironical in a country where half the roads and buildings bear Gandhi tag although they may not even have seen them)
  6. When the HR function hesitatingly made a very rich proposal to Ratan – he said – do you think we are doing enough?
  7. The whole approach was that the organisation would spend several hundred crore in re-building the property – why not spend equally on the employees who gave their life?
This was not covered by any news channel. The channels are busy showing cast politics, Sania Mirza's wedding, Shahrukh Khan's KKR. But these stories need to be told to the nation.

Blackberry battery draining problem fixed - Luck By Chance

Last Sunday, all of the sudden my blackberry bold 9000's battery started draining a lot faster than normal... about 15% in half an hour while in standby mode. It's just 8 months old. It's only with an Email/IM plan by provider(AirTel). I don't even use Wi-Fi /internet browsing on it... did no change in overall phone state, except a SIM card replacement with a friend's for a couple of days. Other than that just simple calling and emailing,... surprised why/how it all happened? Tried with cleaning up data, removal/restore memory stick, device resets (alt+right shift+del) but no luck.

While trying suggestions on different blogs/forums online, I found another trick to hit n' try with this, that is physically removing the battery from phone for about a minute (a pure hard reboot). I gave it another shot this way, and luckily it started working normally again. I figured, it was due to some zombie processes running inside device, constantly sucking battery in background. I still have to differentiate why other hard reset (alt+right shift+del) way couldn't kill them? Battery removal is low level reboot.

I thought to share this useful experience with you in case you come across in similar situation. Good luck, Guys.

TIPS TO VARIOUS RESET WAYS

Soft-reset your device
Performing a soft reset stops all applications on the BlackBerry device by pressing the alt+right shift+del keys.

Double-Soft-reset your device
Performing a double-soft reset stops all applications on the BlackBerry device and is nearly the equivalent of a hard reset. Timing however is critical. Perform a soft reset by pressing the alt+right shift+del keys. The screen will go blank. When the screen is no longer black, press the alt+right shift(cap)+del keys again. You should then see another blank screen followed by an hour glass.

Hard-reset your device
The first step in troubleshooting a network, software or hardware error is often to perform a hard reset. With Java® based devices, this is accomplished by removing the battery, while the BlackBerry device is powered on. Hold the battery out for about 30 seconds, and replace. The BlackBerry device will reboot.

Note 1: A hard reset on a C++ based device is accomplished by pressing the Reset button.
Note 2: To perform a hard reset on a RIM models 850, 857, 950, or 957 device, insert the end of a paperclip inside the small hole on the back of the hand held.

You can also refer to this link for knowing more about all type of blackberry resets, I found good for the topic

GPS and Mobile Ads - Revolutionary Change

Honestly, I have been involved in some online video ads project for over a couple of years and have understood how complex and logically advertisers reach to their customers for showcasing their brand. That's about video ads in websites; for fixed location client-wise. Ads delivery to mobile users is another revolutionary change in the industry. iAd versus AdMob will show us many new concepts here.

Suppose, I'm in a town of popular Indian/Regional food, and my iPhone shows me specialty food of place, and advertisers track that ad delivery, and later confirmed if I visited his restaurant really, so he can evaluate his ROI. Interesting? Yes, this is going to happen in near future in mobility ads. Apple will track users' movements, and will deliver ads according to his location. Yes it's cool. I may be less interested to see ads selling website hosting plan, but special places there, when I'm in Switzerland for a 7 days vacation (Ah! I wish so... ;-)).

Social sites can also track friends' locations, and prompt them if they are geographically around. Awesome!

At same time, I'm also sure about Google will be thinking something more interested, being a giant in the industry, but that's definitely a good start, and lastly good for consumers. They'll at least be looking at ads now.

Looking forward for the madness rivalry of Apple's iAd and Google's AdMob

With the announcement of QUATTRO WIRELESS acquisition by Apple corp. last Tuesday, another rivalry is set to start in mobile advertising between 2 giants. Apple has a maximum number of iPhone users, where Google leads in ads industry and a successful history of delivering ads. Until now, AdMob has been accepted among top choices to deliver ads in iPhone users network, which is again owned by Google since November last year.

I wish iAd would support J2ME integration as well down the line, so its also possible to deliver ads to other standard popular platforms in the industry, such as: BlackBerry, Android and Palm's WebOS.

Fingers crossed to see another interesting year into different aspect of smart phones competition, and an important monetary subset of it too, where most of people would be interested to spend time to get into it. Being an iPhone fan, I'll also wet my fingers in the river to feel the heat of such an amazing fire in Mobile world.

About iAd: iAd evolved after Apple acquired Quattro Wireless last Monday for approx US $275M. Quattro Wireless is a leading global mobile advertising provider, empowering advertisers, application developers and publishers to reach and engage their target audiences across mobile web, application and video platforms with unrivaled precision, transparency and ROI. (courtesy: Quattro)

About AdMob: AdMob is a mobile advertising marketplace that connects advertisers with mobile publishers. They allow advertisers to create ads, choose landing pages and target their ads with plenty of detail. Ads can be targeted to locations, carriers, phone platforms and phone manufacturers. Success to unlock my iPhone with FW3.1.3/BB5.12.01

Apple's last hit to iPhone hackers with 3.1.3 update impacted so badly to numerous iPhone owners. It was a surprise to many after they updated the firmware from previous versions, by seeing no way out. Firmware 3.1.3 upgrades bootloader to 5.12.01 which permanently marks full stop to jailbreak solutions till date. Like many iPhone aspirants, I'm also the one using this gadget from very first version, and have been playing around with unlocking options and customizing the firmware. I'm currently using unlocked iPhone 3G, running on 3.1.3 firmware. I know this is not very common but I went mad with my phone one day and made it read my non-AT&T sim card. I can use almost every feature of device on top of 3.1.3 without any flaw, which is a great satisfaction in real-time. I'll share my experience to unlock 3.1.3 iPhone 3G, you guys can also give it a try. Good luck.

First of all you need to know 3 things before you jump into this: Versions of firmware, baseband and bootloader. You would need to make your device ready with 3.1.3, 0508 and 4.26.08 respectively. To reach this milestone you'd require to upgrade/downgrade various things in your iPhone as necessary. It requires long time to write every single combination of steps here on this article to support every iPhone on the globe, but here are the steps that followed specific to my iPhone status before I unlocked it.

My iPhone was a locked one with 3.1.3 upgrade. I jailbroke it using redsn0w-0.9.4(windows). There is a trick at this step while start cracking firmware 3.1.3, you need to point 3.1.2(iPhone1,2_3.1.2_7D11_Restore.ipsw) firmware path to break 3.1.3(iPhone1,2_3.1.3_7E18_Restore.ipsw) while selecting firmware on first screen of redsn0w. This works just perfectly.
STEP 1: Jailbreak your iPhone 3.1.3 using redsn0w, and make sure you select 'Cydia' it needs to be therein for installing some utilities to determine, upgrade/downgrade and unlock purposes later.
STEP 2: Install Cydia/Terminal in your iPhone and check version of your baseband firmware, you need to use BBUpdateExtreme for this. It is a bit techie but prefect utility for checking baseband version, it showed different but correct info to me than other options I tried. It involves quite a long procedure so please refer to iPhoneHeat for this. You are lucky if it shows ICE2_BOOT_05.08_G2M3B2 to you, as it'll increase your chances for unlocking your iPhone 3G to almost sure.
STEP 3: Now go to Cydia on your iPhone and Search for Fuzzyband and then install this application. Start fuzzyband and hit downgrade button to make your bootloader compatible for unlock/ultrasn0w. You are lucky if you see successfully downgraded message.
STEP 4: Almost done, now quickly install ultrasn0w and run it........................DONE!

Disclaimer: I never used iPhone 3GS so not sure if this would work on that phone or not, just try it with iPhone 3G only. For any help, please email your queries to "help at pda3 dot net", someone from the group may revert back with possible suggestions.

SOME USEFUL DEFINITIONS RELEVANT TO CONTENT IN THIS ARTICLE
o Baseband is the device in the iPhone that manages all the functions which require an antenna. The baseband processor has its own RAM and firmware in NOR flash, separate from the ARM core resources. The baseband is a resource to the OS. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are managed by the main CPU, although the baseband stores their MAC addresses in it's NVRAM.
o Baseband Bootrom is the first code that runs on the baseband. It resides in internal ROM.
o Bootloader is the code which runs before the baseband FW, it is responsible for signature checking and updating the baseband.

Solving the Digital Maturity Puzzle: Common Challenges and How to Overcome Them

In today’s competitive landscape, many businesses understand the importance of achieving digital maturity, yet they often struggle with how ...
